An awareness programme on “The Power of Soft Skills in Healthcare” was conducted on 10.09.2026 at 4.00 PM at ABC Hospital, in collaboration with Aram Psychiatric Hospital and Cauvery College. The programme was coordinated and conducted by Ms. Rithika and Ms. Archana, students of Cauvery College. Ms. Abirami J.R., Psychologist, Aram Psychiatric Hospital, delivered an informative and interactive session for the staff members of ABC Hospital. The session focused on the importance of soft skills in providing effective and compassionate healthcare services. Key areas covered included effective communication, active listening, empathy, teamwork, professionalism, non-verbal communication, assertiveness, and stress-coping skills. The importance of maintaining positive interactions with patients, attendants, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals was highlighted. Practical role-play activities based on real-life healthcare situations were conducted to help the participants understand and apply these skills in their workplace. The session was interactive and encouraged staff members to reflect on their communication style, teamwork, professional behaviour, and ways of managing workplace stress effectively.
