An awareness program on “Boundary Setting Skills” was conducted at CSI Primary School, Koppu. The session was organized by Abishya, I MSW student from Bishop Heber College. The chief guest and keynote speaker was Ms Akila R., Psychiatric Social Worker at Aram Psychiatry Hospital. During the session, important topics such as safe physical touch and unsafe physical touch, how to recognize and listen to emotions in unsafe situations, the importance of never keeping secrets about abuse, and the need to speak up and tell a trusted adult were discussed with the primary students in an age-appropriate manner. A total of 35 students participated eagerly and benefitted throughout the program.
